I love Roncesvalles, It's such a nice street, and even more so when it's Polish Fest. I love walking down from Dundas and sampling from every food vendor that catches my eye. The Toronto Slop crew hit it hard this year, Polish sausage, cabbage rolls, sauerkraut and perogies. I love hitting the mom and pop spots, the best was 2 old ladies at the church dishing out serious home made slop. The music can get really annoying though, hella loud Elvis impersonators and such making a racket that no one cares about. Ahhh, though it's a little price to pay for some good home-made food. I'm sorry if you guys missed it, rinse it next year, keep it posted. Polish Festival Website. P.S. Thanks Jen for taking the photos!

Y'all need to come over to my Baba's crib for the home-cooked Ukrainian hypeness. Mashes that Polish shit! Fried Perogies with bacon and onioins, kielbasa sausage, cabbage rolls, that barley shit, get outta here!
i don't know. I have Ukranian roots and while I love the way my aunts cook and have very fond memories of my Baba's recipes, I think that Polish fest food looks damn edible!
Dana, we wanted to check out the Ukranian festival to compare the next day, but we were still too full! haha, any Ukranian restaurants in the city that are worth going to?
i look like a hungry puppet mashing the dog

Tasty Tastebuds and I went to this Polish Festival! Missed out on the pulled prok sandwiches (they were sold out) so we had potato, onion and cheese perogies. My only criticism: styrofoam take-out containers overflowed from garbage bins everywhere in sight!
Love,
